a Making Penang Breastfeeding Friendly initiative

On January 2019, RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus (RUMC) hosted a successful dialogue with 36 participants from 24 different confinement centres in Penang. We came to understand what type of educational needs confinement care personnel  required and what we could do to help them in providing breastfeeding support to their clients. We have taken their suggestions and used them to develop an interactive workshop specially tailored to the needs of confinement centres.

We would like to invite confinement care personnel to attend this workshop.

This one-day workshop will be held 3 times on 3 different dates in June. Participants may choose to attend any one of them. However, to allow all participants to have more hands-on experience, each workshop will be limited to a maximum of 30 participants on a first come first serve basis. Participating centres will be provided a certificate  at the end of the workshop.

Dates:
Workshop A : 10 June 2019 (8:00am – 5:00pm) (mainly in English & Chinese)
Workshop B : 17 June 2019 (8:00am – 5:00pm) (mainly in English & Chinese)
Workshop C : 19 June 2019 (8:00am – 5:00pm) (mainly in English & Malay)

Fees:
RM40 per participant
Group Discount: 15% off total fees for groups of 5 or more people

Please complete the online registration form together with proof of payment by 3 June 2019. Places will be confirmed once we receive proof of payment. No refunds will be given. To ensure maximal benefit to everyone, online registration and payment must be done by the deadline, 3 June 2019.  No ‘on the spot’ registration will be allowed.
